It’s here! Windows 10 free upgrade reservation appeared on my Windows 7 and 8 machines this morning. Learn more about windows 10 upgrade process here
Now the questions is do you want to upgrade now?
I have been using Windows 10 preview since it was open to the public and got the latest update over the weekend. Honestly i do not believe it is ready for consumer consumption, it is a great Operating System (OS) but still needs some more tweaking for it to be a perfect OS.
If you do decided to go with the upgrade Microsoft has tried to make it as seamless as possible, in just a few clicks your reservation is complete and you suppose to get Windows 10 upgrade like a windows update when tit becomes available on July 29th.
Hopefuly this will be better than Windows 8 release, Microsoft still failing to realize that you can only make a first impression once after that we looking at awkward OS version numbering (e.g. 10.1).
This post covers automating the Netbook ‘Screen Hack’ using PowerShell. The screen hack enables Modern App (Metro App) to work on Netbooks with lower screen resolution by manipulating the registry key that handles screen resolution of the operating system.
This PowerShell script will actually work on any operating system with Metro, i.e. Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
Below is the Script and a video of the process for visual learners.
